Saturday, sports day Sunday, main festival Southwark Irish Festival is a fun day of dancing, music and activities for everyone. Saturday will comprise of the Gaelic Athletics Association sports day with free junior golf as well as free Irish music workshops. Sunday there will be music and dancing from The Irish World Stage, the Trad Stage as well as an alternative music marquee featuring bands from Ireland as well as local bands. Full line ups have now been announced and are available from the festival website. Other attractions include, county stalls, food marquees, bars, fun fair, arts & crafts, story telling, face painting, free junior gold tuition, tug-o-war, free Irish music workshop, carry the Guinness barrel and much more. Description
Peckham Rye Park and Common comprises both a newly restored Victorian Park and historic common and provides a pleasant refuge for both the local community and wildlife. Featuring ornamental gardens, flowing streams, woodland and a lake, the park also plays home to a cafe, adventure playground, football pitches and a skatepark.
