Shaker Aamer is a 42 year old Saudi national who has been held in Guantánamo Bay for more than 7 years. Seized in Pakistan in late 2001, he has been abused and tortured in Afghanistan and Guantánamo Bay. Shaker has never been charged or tried. He has a British family living in south London.
