Description
"The Oxfam shop in Southgate will be taking part in the first annual Oxfam Bookfest – the first nationwide Oxfam book festival, running from 4 to 18 July in hundreds of venues across the UK.
The festival celebrates the nation’s love of books, and aims to fight poverty through a love of reading.
This is the curtain raiser for North East London’s Bookfest activity. There will be literally thousands of books for sale from all the Oxfam shops in North East London – including Fiction, Children’s, History, Art, Lifestyle, Mind, Body, Spirit…and lots more. There are also hundreds of books donated directly by publishers which will be on sale at credit crunch prices. For book collectors, there are many collectables, including a First Edition of Terry Pratchett’s Strata, signed editions and many of the area Ebay listings which will be available to buy at the sale.
There will also be an opportunity to buy Fairtrade Food, Oxfam Unwrapped and much more.
