Description

Paint the town green with Brent on the real St Patrick's Day

Unlike any other parade in London, the borough of Brent will be sticking to tradition and celebrating all things Irish on the day itself - Wednesday 17 March 2010.

Not only will you be celebrating on the real St Patrick's Day but you will also be at the heart of the most Irish borough in the country.*

The parade featuring colourful floats, pipers, and costumed dancers will start at Willesden Green tube station at 4pm and paint the town green before they finish up in Willesden Green Library Centre.

Across two stages there will be the very best of Irish entertainment including renowned comedian Deirdre O'Kane, the much loved Irish folk band Irish Mist, Neasden based McCarthy School of Irish Dance and a thirty piece youth orchestra.

Indulge in a bit of retail therapy and sample traditional Irish food or buy Irish gifts at the St. Patrick's Day Market.

For the little ones there will be loads to do including face painting, circus skills workshops and Irish tales of laughter myths and legends from acclaimed storyteller Pat Speight.

So come along and celebrate with Brent on the real St Patrick's Day
