Since its humble beginnings in 1987, The Ealing Blues Festival has become one of the biggest and most popular Blues events in Britain, attracting audiences of over 10,000 people. Ealing has always been regarded as one of the spiritual homes of British Blues, largely due to the legendary ‘Ealing Club’ where many of Britain’s top Blues musicians started out.
As London’s largest Blues Festival, it prides itself on presenting a broad spectrum of Blues acts and in 2010, for the first time, we are proud to present a piano player as the headline act. Ben Waters, one of the best Boogie Woogie Barrelhouse pianists on the planet, will headline the Main stage where he’ll be backed by The Guv’nors Rhythm Section. He will also be making an appearance on the Crypt Stage where he’ll be playing a solo set.
The free families area will be open from 1-7pm at the Ealing Blues Festival, full of activities for all ages.
