30,000 people can’t be wrong! Lewisham’s longest running free community festival returns to Mountsfield Park, Catford, for it's 25th birthday.

This years event is shaping up to be huge with four seperate areas of music and entertainment.

Yellow Area

The Global Local Village Hall has a wooden dance floor and features festival favourites Harare Dread.  A solar powered cinema will show films before becoming a, acoustic stage later in the day and the Rocklands Stage showcasing new, local bands.  Full Line Up.

Blue Area

The Albany Stage has the legendary James Taylor Quartet, whilst this area also contains a dance stage, the Colourspace art installation and an Active Lewisham space with health workouts and sport.  Full Line Up.

Red Area

The Broadway Stage has The Dualers along with London Breakbeat Orchestra, whilst nearby watch amazing stunts and tricks in the Extreme Bike Arena or browse in the 50 stalls making up the Craft Market.  Full Line Up.

Green Area

Listen to old school reggae from Black Star on the band stand whilst the kids are entertained on the Love Lewisham Lawn.  Full Line Up.

All over the park will be stalls, kids activities and performance art.

Description

Mountsfield Park has a wide range of recreational pursuits for the more energetic, including basketball, football and tennis. There is also a children's playground for the younger visitor. For those who enjoy more passive pursuits the park has ornamental gardens and a bandstand.

With its central location and car parking facilities, the park is often used for large events. The Council holds its annual People's Day event here each July, which attracts crowds of over 30,000.

Although lower than Hilly Fields the park affords excellent views west over Catford to Crystal Palace in the distance.
